Resurfacing Contractors Ltd carried out a 250 m² asphalt installation as part of improvement works at a railway station in Bristol.
With the groundworks undertaken by others, our team delivered the surfacing element of the project, supplying, laying and compacting the AC20 asphalt course.
Surfacing around the station frontage
The works covered areas alongside the station boundary and around the entrance. The layout included a long, narrow section beside the existing pavement and a wider area following a curved kerb line.
Our team laid the asphalt within the prepared areas, detailing around existing features and following the installed edging to create clearly defined boundaries.
Our part in the project
Our package included:
- Supply of AC20 asphalt.
- Laying across the prepared 250 m² area.
- Compaction of the installed asphalt.
- Finishing around kerbs, boundaries and existing site features.
The photographs show the progression from excavation and preparation by the groundworks contractor through to our completed asphalt installation.
The result
The completed asphalt course brought the prepared areas together as part of the wider station improvement scheme. This project demonstrates our ability to deliver a defined commercial surfacing package alongside other contractors.
