Resurfacing Contractors Ltd recently completed a full block paving driveway installation at a residential property in Southampton, Hampshire.
The project involved transforming the existing driveway into a smart, durable and attractive entrance using premium Tobermore block paving.
Covering approximately 125m², the new driveway features a blend of slate-grey tones laid in a traditional herringbone pattern, complemented by a contrasting charcoal block paving border.
Scope of Works
Our experienced installation team carried out the following works:
- Full excavation and removal of the existing driveway materials.
- Preparation and compaction of the driveway formation.
- Supply and installation of MOT Type 1 sub-base, compacted to provide a stable foundation.
- Installation of a sharp sand laying course, accurately screeded to the required levels.
- Supply and installation of Tobermore block paving in a herringbone laying pattern.
- Installation of contrasting charcoal block paving borders to create a defined finish.
- Careful detailing around existing access covers, entrances and property features.
- Jointing with kiln-dried sand and final compaction of the completed driveway.
The Finished Result
The completed 125m² block paved driveway provides generous off-road parking while significantly improving the appearance and accessibility of the property.
The combination of slate-grey paving and charcoal borders creates a contemporary finish that complements the property's brickwork.
Careful attention was given to the paving layout, perimeter detailing and existing access points to achieve a neat, professional result.
