Resurfacing Contractors Ltd recently completed a full driveway transformation at a residential property in Fareham, Hampshire. The project involved excavating the existing driveway, installing a new MOT Type 1 sub-base and finishing with a smooth black tarmac surface, complemented by premium Tobermore Sienna block paving.

Scope of Works
Our experienced driveway installation team carried out the following works:
- Full Driveway Excavation: Excavated the existing driveway to the required formation level, removing unsuitable materials and preparing the area for the new driveway construction.

- SMA Tarmac Surfacing: Supplied, laid and compacted a 6 mm Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) surface course, delivering a smooth, hard-wearing finish suitable for everyday residential vehicle use.
- Final Finishing Works: Completed all edging, levels and finishing details to provide a neat transition between the driveway, adjoining landscaping and existing highway.
The Finished Result
This 38 m² driveway combines the strength and practicality of tarmac with the premium appearance of Tobermore block paving.
The contrasting light-coloured paving creates a modern finish, while the SMA surface provides a durable, low-maintenance parking area.
