Resurfacing Contractors Ltd transformed this property in Hook with a new 120 m² tarmac driveway, widening the original layout and finishing the perimeter with Tobermore Charcoal block edging.
From a narrow drive to a wider parking area
The original driveway provided a narrow approach to the garage, with lawn on either side. The new layout extends across more of the frontage, creating additional room for parking and manoeuvring while retaining a curved boundary around the front lawn.
Asphalt construction and finish
Our team installed an AC20 base/binder course followed by a 6 mm SMA surface course, laying and compacting the asphalt to form a continuous finish from the driveway entrance up to the house and garage.
The black asphalt is framed by a Tobermore Charcoal block border. This follows the curve of the lawn and the straight boundary beside the neighbouring property, giving the driveway a clearly defined outline.
The finished result
The completed driveway provides a broader, more practical parking area and a fresh approach to the property. The simple combination of black tarmac and charcoal block edging complements the house’s brickwork and dark garage door.
